Where are we?

Estamos ubicados en la costa de Chile, frente al límite de la Región del Bío Bío y la Región de la Araucanía, a 34 kilómetros de la ciudad de Tirúa. Su ubicación geográfica exacta es 38º23'06"-latitud sur y 73º52'00" longitud oeste. Administrativamente depende de la Región del Bío Bío.

La principal característica es su forma ovalada en cuyo centro se alza una cadena montañosa que en su parte más elevada alcanza los 300 mts de altura y está cubierta de un frondoso y casi impenetrable bosque nativo, donde priman los arrayanes, ulmos, olivillos, laureles y helechos en sus más diversas variedades. Esta rica selva virgen ofrece el hábitat ideal para aves como pidenes, torcazas, bandurrias, fardelas castellanas; destacando además la presencia de mamíferos autóctonos, como el pudú.
